ACUPUNCUTRE

Picture
Acupuncture is a form of alternative medicine and a key component of traditional Chinese medicine in which thin, sterile, stainless steel needles are inserted into acupuncture points on the body. Each acupuncture point is unique and helps correct the flow of energy or qi (pronounced chee). Acupuncture has been in use for thousands of years, restoring balance and decreasing pain in patients worldwide. It is finally being recognized in allopathic (Western) medicine. There are many styles of acupuncture, and Kelley incorporates several into her practice: 5 Element, TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), and Dr. Richard Tan’s Balance Method.

CUPPING

Picture
Cupping therapy is a form of alternative medicine in which local suction is created on the skin through the use of glass cups. This pleasant modality increases circulation, helps relieve muscle pain, and removes pathogens, heat, and toxins, encouraging more healthy blood flow for the patient

Chakra work

Picture
Chakra is a Sanskrit term from the yoga-based Eastern chakra system. It means “disc” or “wheel”. There are seven main chakras starting at the base of the spine and running up to the top of the head. Each chakra is represented by one of the seven colors of the rainbows of spinning energy/light. Chakras express the embodiment of spiritual energy on the physical plane. Basic life issues such as survival, sexuality, power, communication, intuition, and cognition are expressed through these wheels of light. Sometimes they can become stuck or deficient, and through various protocols can be brought back to balance to keep us functioning at optimal levels.

Essential oils

Picture
Essential oils are incredibly potent oils that are extracted from plants. These extracts retain the natural essence of their source, capturing their flavors, scents, and overall beneficial properties. Some essential oils have been around for thousands of years, such as myrrh and frankincense (the most often referenced essential oil in the Bible). These oils are proven to relieve symptoms of headaches, anxiety, indigestion, fungus, and many other maladies.

MOXIBUSTIOn

Picture
Moxibustion is a technique within Chinese Medicine that promotes healing. Made up of ground mugwort leaves, moxa is burned directly on the acupuncture point and/or the needle. The heat and the healing power of this herb stimulate points and improve the flow of qi. Interestingly, it has been used successfully to turn breech babies.

COLORPUNCTURE

Picture
Colorpuncture is colored light therapy using colored glass rods that are focused on acupuncture points using a hand held device. Each color emits a different light frequency that penetrates deeply into our cells. The treatment reduces pain and can be deeply relaxing.

DOLPHIN NEUROSTIM

Picture
The Dolphin Neurostim is a hand held device specifically designed for the treatment of soft tissue pain. It delivers a micro current that activates acupuncture points to relax muscles, calm the nervous system, and reduce scar tissue. It’s a helpful device when particularly sensitive acupuncture points need stimulation, allowing them to be treated without needles.
FAR INFRARED HEAT THERAPY
Picture
Light waves from a far infrared heat lamp can penetrate two inches into your tissue, benefiting the client by increasing blood circulation, healing wounds, and helping to manage pain. The addition of castor oil on the liver/gallbladder region makes this system a potent detoxifier.
CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY
Picture
This is a very gentle hands-on technique designed to relieve tension and blockages in the central nervous system and throughout the body. Clients typically experience profound feelings of well-being from these treatments.
NUTRACEUTICALS
Picture
Sometimes we need additional fortification to fight off a cold or the flu. Supplementing our diet with nutraceuticals, either through pharmaceutical grade vitamins or Chinese herbal formulas, can often stop or shorten the duration of illness — especially if they’re taken at the FIRST onset of symptoms. Supplementation is also helpful for a whole host of other issues such as indigestion, anxiety, insomnia, high cholesterol, or high blood pressure.
